Annika Egert is a versatile soprano with a particular affinity for the German repertoire.

The German soprano Annika Egert has a wide-ranging repertoire in the lyric-dramatic soprano category and is increasingly developing her profile in the German repertoire.

In 2026, she made her debut at the Baltic Opera Festival as Helmwige in Wagner's Die Walküre, conducted by Axel Kober.

That same year, she sang the role of Senta in Der fliegende Holländer at the Sparda Klassik Open Air concert as part of the Bayreuth Festival's 150th anniversary celebrations.

Other recent roles include Agathe in Der Freischütz and the title role in Kálmán's Gräfin Mariza at the Wertingen Festival.

At the Helgoland Classic Open Air, she sang Sieglinde in Die Walküre and Senta in Der fliegende Holländer in a concert version.

Engagements in the opera and concert sector have also taken her to, among others, the Bayreuth Festival, the Baltic Opera Festival, the Landestheater Detmold, the Theater Winterthur, the Kurhaus Wiesbaden, the Teatro del Libertador San Martín in Córdoba and the Bulgaria Hall Sofia.

She first gained attention in the concert field in 2021 when she stepped in at short notice for Dorothea Röschmann in Gustav Mahler's Second Symphony under the direction of Luiz de Godoy.

Her concert and oratorio repertoire also includes works by Bach, Mozart, and Mendelssohn.

Her discography includes the NAXOS recording of Johann Strauss's Waldmeister with the Sofia Philharmonic under Dario Salvi, in which she sings the role of Freda. The recording was nominated for the International Classical Music Award (ICMA).

Annika Egert worked with conductors such as Daniele Gatti, Axel Kober, Christian Thielemann, Pablo Heras-Casado, Donald Runnicles, Jonathan Nott, Piotr Jaworski and Joseph Bastian.

In 2026 she reached the quarter-finals of the Wagner Voices Competition at the Bayreuth Festival.

She is currently receiving vocal coaching from KS. Ricarda Merbeth. She has also received further artistic guidance from, among others, Soula Parassidis, Burkhard Fritz, Iris Vermillion, and Manuela Uhl.
